Stand Easy ProductionsStand Easy, a charity that helps with the recovery of Wounded, Injured and Sick (WIS) veterans through the use of drama activities, has received further support from ABF The Soldiers’ Charity to assist with two new projects.

Stand Easy operates mainly in the Tayside and Fife areas of Scotland, but involves veterans from further afield.  It has a staff of three professionals, one of whom is a film-maker. One veteran who worked with the charity on its pilot project still works with them as a participant and mentor.

Alan Cameron, Project Manager for Stand Easy, comments: “The Soldiers’ Charity has supported Stand Easy from the start.  They understood what we were trying to achieve and have now funded two of our projects.  This support, understanding, and funding has been invaluable.

“Most of our veterans have mental health barriers such as PTSD, excessive anxiety, or depression.  Their welfare is the priority at all times and we work in a way that is safe, challenging, and creative – and great fun.”
