Robert Jordan, South West Regional Director, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, gave a talk to pupils on the work of military charities. He was joined by Corporal Churchill and Sapper Parsons from the Army Outreach Team (South West) who gave the children an insight into life in today’s Army.

Following the talk, the pupils were able to attempt the climbing tower and the inflatable mini-assault course which was laid on by the Outreach Team.  This was followed by the presentation of a cheque for £752.51 which the school raised on the day.  The cheque was accepted by former 6 Rifles soldier, Serjeant George Pas, who The Soldiers’ Charity helped following a life-changing motor cycle accident in 2011.
