We are delighted to award a £47,640 grant to The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation (Stoll) towards its support for vulnerable former soldiers.
Helping former soldiers to avoid financial hardship and homelessness is a priority area for our charity. Stoll provides housing for around 270 military veterans and their dependents across five housing schemes in Fulham, Hounslow, East Acton, Chiswick and Aldershot.
Our grant will go towards the charity’s Independent Living Service, which covers counselling, debt advice, substance abuse, health and wellbeing issues.
Norman, an Army beneficiary in his eighties, has lived in a modern, comfortable Stoll flat in Hounslow for nine years. He said: “I’m well looked after here, and everything is accessible so I can get out and about. The staff here provide help if I need it, so I have a safety net. I’m able to live independently and that for me is very important.”

“We really value the support that the Army Benevolent Fund has given to Stoll over many years. The grant will help provide tailored support to veterans who have complex needs.”
