We are delighted to award a £15,000 grant to Dads Unlimited to support the core costs of its Mentoring and Domestic Abuse Services.
The Army Benevolent Fund promotes the mental health and wellbeing of the Army family as a priority. Dads Unlimited is a men’s suicide prevention charity that supports men and dads across England and Wales who have experienced family breakdown, lost contact with their children, and/or been a male victim of domestic abuse. Since its foundation in 2017, the charity has made a positive difference to the lives of over 5,000 men and over 9,500 children. In this period, around 190 beneficiaries were ex-Armed Forces.
Our grant will fund the charity’s one-to-one mentoring service that helps to reduce parental conflict and ensure meaningful contact with children, and its Save Dave bespoke service to male victims of domestic abuse.

“Receiving this ABF grant marks a significant milestone in our mission and the funding allows us to deepen our commitment to those who have served our country, ensuring they have full access to our Mentoring and Domestic Abuse Services. We are dedicated to preventing suicide for this cohort of men, as well as turning the tide on the mental health crises affecting them.”
