The Merville Mile 2026 – 12hr Charity Endurance Event

The Merville Mile is organised by 16 Medical Regiment returns in 2026 for it’s third year, with volunteers from across 16 Air Assault Brigade Combat Team and Colchester Garrison. Military personnel will be taking on this epic 12hr endurance event in aid of the ABF. Participants will be running laps of 1.1 mile every 20 mins for 12 hours. If individuals are still running after 11 hours and 40 mins the last lap will be a straight race, first to complete the final lap will be declared the winner.

Date: Wednesday 3rd June 2026

Timings: 0600hrs – 1800hrs

Location: Cpl Budd VC Gym, Sports Pavillion, Colchester.

Participants: MFD volunteers from across 16 Air Assault BCT, both Regular and Reserve.

Entry/Charity: A minimum entry fee donation of £10 will be required to enter, all proceeds will go to the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF).
