Teams will take part in an 18‑hole Four Ball Team Stableford competition. This format welcomes teams of four men, four ladies or mixed groups. All players compete off full handicap, making the event suitable for golfers of different abilities. It is a relaxed but well‑organised day, with a competitive edge that many returning teams enjoy.

The programme starts early. Reception opens at 0700, with coffee and a bacon roll available once players have signed in. Tee times begin from 0800, and teams head out across the course in good time. The day ends with a rolling two‑course carvery meal with coffee and mints, served from 1330. This allows players to relax, socialise and share the highlights of their round.

There is a wide range of competitions throughout the day. These include nearest‑the‑pin challenges, longest‑drive contests and the Waterloo Putting Challenge. The popular Golfers’ Lucky Dip Envelope is included in the entry price. Each player receives a sealed envelope containing the name of another golfer. If that golfer is in the winning team, the envelope holder wins a cash prize. A free drinks point at the 8th hole, provided by Dainton Park, adds a welcome touch for players.

Pricing is excellent value. The cost is £62 for non‑members and £37 for members. This includes the goodies bag, breakfast, 18 holes, competitions, Lucky Dip, the Waterloo Challenge and the two‑course carvery meal. Spouses, partners or guests can join the meal for £18 per person.
