The 2024 annual Devon Charity Golf Day will once again take place at Dainton Park Golf Club . Set in 125 acres, Dainton Park was designed by acclaimed golf course architect Adrian Stiff, and commissioned in 1993. It has matured into one of the best golf courses in Devon.
This year it will be an 18 Hole Mixed Bowmaker Stableford competition: teams of three men, three ladies or mixed teams off full handicap teeing off in teams of three.

Timings
0700 Reception open. Coffee and bacon roll from the bar available after registration.
Reserved tee from 0800 onwards.
A rolling 2-course carvery meal plus coffee from 1330 hours.
Competitions and Prizes
Mixed Bowmaker Stableford: Prizes for winners and second team (off yellow or red as applicable).
Golfers’ Lucky Dip Envelope: Cash prizes for drawing a player who is a member of either the winning team or second team.
Waterloo Putting Challenge: Prize for winner with the lowest score.
Nearest THE Gin (NG) (8th Hole): Prize for winner only.
Nearest the Line (NL) (11th Hole): Prize for winner only.
Longest Drive (LD) (12th and 16th Holes): Prize for both men’s and ladies’ winners.
Nearest the Bull (NB) (13th Hole): Prize for winner only.
Nearest Pin (NP) (15th Hole): Prize for both men’s and ladies’ winners.
David Knight Memorial Challenge (4th, 8th, 15th and 17th Holes) : Best Individual Stableford over all Par 3s.
Various reward and consolation prizes
The Golfers’ Lucky Dip Envelope is a competition costing £5 per player, (included in the cost for the day), which buys a sealed unmarked envelope on arrival at Reception which contains the name of one of the golfers playing that day. If that name is a member of either the winners or second team then you will be rewarded with a cash prize.
The Waterloo Putting Challenge costs £1 per player, (included in the cost for the day). This competition on the carefully reset practice putting green is a gentle reminder that both pace and time will be needed later.
The Nearest THE Gin (NG), competition costs £1 per player, (included in the cost for the day). The winner will be drawn from a list of those whose tee shot comes to rest within the target circle.
The 18 Hole Mixed Bowmaker Stableford Competition will be the two best scores of three to count on each hole. Individuals not bringing others to make up a team of three are asked to nominate on the application form with whom they would like to play.
https://staustellbrewery.co.uk/ will provide a free drinks point on the 8th which will be stocked with canned beers/lager plus small bottles of wine – one drink per player. A small voluntary donations towards Army Benevolent Fund would be much appreciated.

The cost for the Golf day will be £57 for non members and £34 for members of Dainton Park Golf Club. Cost includes:
