Bristol Charity Golf Day
You are warmly invited to enter a team for Bristol’s 19th ABF Charity Golf Day, one of the longest‑running and most popular charity golf day events in the region. This year’s event will once again raise vital funds for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF), supporting soldiers, veterans and their families when they need it most.
The Bristol charity golf day will be hosted at the excellent Henbury Golf Club, a well‑respected Bristol course known for its welcoming clubhouse, challenging layout and superb facilities. We are delighted that Henbury Golf Club is supporting the event and helping us deliver a memorable day of golf and fundraising.
Format & Rules
This Bristol charity golf day is open to teams of four players competing in an 18‑hole Stableford competition, with the best two scores counting on each hole.
- WHS Handicap Limit:
- Men: Maximum 34
- Ladies: Maximum 38
Golfers without a WHS handicap are welcome to take part in our Bristol charity golf day provided they are competent players, although they will not be eligible for the main prize.
Teams are welcomed from:
- Military units
- Corporate teams and businesses
- Golf clubs
- Golf societies
Tee Times & Team Availability
Tee times will run from 9:30am to 11:30am.
If fewer than 18 teams enter, a shotgun start may be used so that all players finish at the same time.
Maximum number of teams: 26
Entry Fee, Food & Prizes
Thanks to the generous support of Henbury Golf Club and event sponsor Control Developments (UK) Ltd, the entry fee is £280 per team, including:
- Green fees
- Coffee on arrival (bacon rolls available to purchase)
- A high‑quality two‑course meal
- A full prize presentation

Prize Giving & Further Information
The prize giving for the Bristol charity golf day will take place at approximately 4:00pm in the clubhouse.
