We are excited to announce that we have received a silver award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS)!
Now in its seventh year, the ERS represents a badge of honour available to those that employ and support soldiers, veterans and their families.
We have a number of reservists amongst our staff, and are always more than happy to grant leave for Army training. We also employ Army Cadet instructors and Army spouses.
To gain this award, our charity has shown that it has proactively demonstrated that service personnel and the wider armed forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged during recruiting and selection processes. We also actively ensure that our staff are aware of our positive policies towards defence people issues and we have demonstrated support to mobilisations and have a framework in place by providing at least 5 days’ additional special leave.
We are delighted with this news and are already working towards achieving a gold award in 2021.
