Taking place this year from 22– 28 June, Armed Forces Week is an annual event dedicated to recognising and celebrating those who serve or have served in the UK Armed Forces.

Wednesday 24 June is Reserves Day, when we celebrate the contribution of our Reserve Forces, and the week culminates with Armed Forces Day, on Saturday 27 June.

At the ABF, our supporters are coming together to mark Armed Forces Week 2026, in support of our incredible soldiers, veterans, and their families.

Participating in the Armed Forces Day National Event 2026

This year, Armed Forces Day will be marked with a national event in Aldershot on Saturday 27 June. We are proud to be representing the charity there, with an ABF stand.

The day features a military parade and a range of activities celebrating the UK Armed Forces. It promises to be an exciting finale to Armed Forces Week, with demonstrations, live music, and more.

Spotlight on our incredible supporters

Bob “Foss” Wells, a veteran of the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment, is taking on an extraordinary fundraising challenge for the ABF, travelling over 200 miles along the UK’s canal network in a traditional punt to mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June.

Foss will live aboard his 25-feet Oxford punt, named the Mayfly, during this adventure.

You can support Foss with a donation here.

Messages from ABF supporters

VIP supporters Giles Brandreth and Bryan Cranston shared messages across our social media channels expressing their appreciation for the Armed Forces. We’re very grateful for their support for the Army family.
