On 12th November, our charity attended the International Boxing Night at The Infantry Training Centre (ITC) at the Catterick Garrison. The match was organised in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund and has managed to raise a substantial amount for the Army family.
The ITC hosts this annual night of boxing between the British Army and another boxing team. This year, although the British Army fighters started strong and had some highs, the Bahrain Royal Guard emerged victorious, winning six out of eight bouts to flip last year’s result against the British Army and take the title.
We were delighted to see some fantastic sponsors in attendance, including the Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
A massive thank you to all the participants and supporters who have helped us raise an incredible £55,000 from the match.
