In the latest Third Sector Charity Brand Index, which gauges public awareness of the charity sector, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity has been named as the number one charity for delivering on its promise – to support soldiers, veterans and their immediate families – out of the top 154 charities in the UK. The Soldiers’ Charity is the National Charity of the British Army.

The Charity was also in the top 10 for charities which uses its money well, which further reinforces the trust shown by the public and supporters of the Charity. Receiving more than £10million in annual donations, the CBI rankings show that the Charity is ensuring that the 5,000 individuals and up to 100 specialist charities it also supports receives the dedicated help they need.

Based on a survey of more than 4,000 people across the UK, the Index show ABF The Soldiers’ Charity ranking highly in these two critical areas in 2015, despite the gloomy picture for charities overall.

Brigadier (Ret’d) Robin Bacon, Chief of Staff ABF The Soldiers’ Charity comments: “We work hard to ensure that those who support the Charity financially are rewarded with trust in us delivering on what we promise to do. The results from the CBI speaks volumes for this hard work. We are extremely proud to be the leading UK charity for this.”
