We are delighted to award a £15,000 grant to the Taxi Charity for Military Veterans, towards its special trips and activities.
Our charity promotes the wellbeing of Armed Forces veterans, especially the elderly and disabled. The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans relies on volunteer London black taxi drivers and arranges free trips (for veterans from all conflicts) in the UK and Europe for acts of commemoration, museums, concerts, and social events. Veterans have said how much they appreciate the “cabbies” who take them to visit the war graves of fallen comrades and the charity’s help for those experiencing loneliness and isolation at home.
Our grant will go towards the charity’s 2024 World War Two events, including D-Day and Arnhem 80th anniversary trips to Normandy, Belgium and Holland, and its annual day trip to Worthing.

I know every driver, veteran and volunteer will join me in saying a huge thank you for your generous support.”
