Supporting the Army Benevolent Fund through Trusts & Foundations

We are grateful to receive varied support from Trusts & Foundations which reflects the breadth of our provision for beneficiaries. Our funders include family and local trusts in addition to well-known national funding bodies with grants ranging in size; from unrestricted annual donations, to high-level strategic partnerships.

We work with current and potential funders to ensure the impact of their donation aligns with the values and interests of their Trustees. We send regular update reports, where required, to our funders to demonstrate this impact through metrics and case studies, sharing the real stories of beneficiaries whose lives have been changed as a result of their generosity.

Unrestricted donations allow our Grants and Welfare team the flexibility to give support where help is most needed. Region-specific donations, or donations towards defined programmes such as our Future Pathways Programme, enable us to plan ahead with regards to specific funding needs.

Our support for the Army family addresses a variety of issues. We help individuals with limited mobility, housing challenges, problems with old age and educational needs. The oldest recipient of a grant last year was 103 years old, while the youngest was three months old.

Our Trusts team is happy to provide information on our support programmes or our work in specific regions, and work side by side with Trustees to ensure their funding objectives are met. We are also happy to arrange a visit to our offices to discuss larger funding opportunities.

A big thank you to the National Gardens Scheme for committing to support our work as of April 2017, providing funding to the Army Benevolent Fund to help soldiers, veterans, and their families in the field of horticulture.

The Worshipful Company of Dyers

We would like to thank The Worshipful Company of Dyers for their incredible support over several years. With their funding, the Army Benevolent Fund has provided bespoke support to soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families.
