Our recent grant of £5,000 to Together Co will help lonely or isolated veterans in Brighton and Hove.

With this grant, Together Co can run monthly social events in three locations across the city, connecting lonely or isolated veterans with trained volunteers who offer friendship, practical help, and links to community activities. Our grant will also fund essential running costs such as volunteer training.

April Baker, Together Co CEO, said:

“We are incredibly grateful to the Army Benevolent Fund for its generous grant, which will go a long way to helping veterans living in Brighton and Hove who are lonely and isolated.

“Veterans are often hard to reach so this funding will allow us to pour our resources into offering them and their families the care and support they need.”

Brigadier (Ret’d) Peter Monteith, Chief Operating Officer, Army Benevolent Fund, added:

“As the Army’s national charity, we understand how isolation and loneliness can impact former service members and their families. Our grant of £5,000 to Together Co will help promote mental wellbeing, increased confidence, and a stronger sense of belonging amongst the veteran community in Brighton and Hove.”
