Why not join us this Friday (25th February) for Friday Night In, with top BBC broadcasters Gabby Logan and Michael Buerk, along with Alastair Bruce, who is a not only Governor of Edinburgh Castle but also a Sky News Royal commentator?

Register for this unique virtual event and you will not only enjoy the trio’s sparkling conversation with veteran TV presenter Simon McCoy, but also help raise money for our charity – from the comfort of your own sofa.

In an evening packed with entertainment, there’s also music from the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, as well as opportunities to bid on prizes, including signed books from Bernard Cornwell, Dame Joanna Lumley, and Dame Judi Dench.

As a guest you will hear renowned BBC journalist Michael Buerk recall his time covering the Ethiopian famine, which inspired the first global Live Aid concert; Gabby Logan will share stories of top sports stars, plus memories of the 2012 Olympics; and General Alastair Bruce, who, became the highest-ranking Army officer to have a same-sex wedding in 2021, will share a key lesson he learnt from the Army.

Charles Dunphie, the Scotland Director of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, said:

Cancel all your Friday night plans and join our celebrity guests for an evening of fun, frank conversation and fundraising. Invite your friends, share a meal and help support Army veterans, soldiers and their families.”

Friday Night In was launched in 2021, when many of our in-person events were cancelled due to COVID-19. Our first Friday Night In event, in March 2021, attracted supporters from across the UK and beyond and raised more than £23,000 for our charity. We hope you will be able to join us this Friday! Tickets cost just £20 per household.
