We are delighted to announce that over the past 12 months, our partnership with Giveacar has raised an amazing £3,636, making this the most successful calendar year of our ten year partnership!
Thanks to the generosity of 16 donors and Giveacar’s excellent scheme, the money raised will allow us to provide life-changing grants to at least three members of the Army family in times of need.
Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that can turn your old car into a donation for charity. It arranges free collection, then either sell your car at auction or scrap it, with the proceeds raised going to a charity of your choice. Since it was founded in 2010, it has raised over £3.5 million for charities in the UK and worldwide.
Across our ten year partnership, Giveacar’s scheme has now raised a total of £13,145 for our charity. Our thanks go to the team at Giveacar and to all the donors who generously gave their cars for our cause – your kindness has enabled us to provide vital support to soldiers, veterans and their families in need.
