At the Bruntsfield Links Charity Golf Day, you have an event which stands out from the crowd! From the moment you arrive, you will know you’re on for a great day playing your best golf at one of the world’s oldest clubs. Founded in 1761, the Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society is the fourth oldest golf club in the world and one of Scotland’s most prestigious clubs located only 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre. The mature parkland style course was originally designed by Willie Park Jnr with later modifications by world renowned architects Dr Alister MacKenzie, James Braid and Fred Hawtree.
We will provide filled rolls, soup, tea and coffee in the members-only clubhouse to prepare you for your day. Then, when the artillery gun goes bang, you’re off on a great round of golf on this stunning parkland-style course. After a group photo, we’ve been granted access to the exclusive members-only dining room for a two course dinner and prize-giving.

The day includes

Format
- 4Ball Texas Scramble
- Playing handicap allowance: Full, max 24 for gents and 32 for ladies (if you’re above 24 or 32 respectively, unfortunately you will be cut for this event)
- Minimum of 3 drives for each player (1 must be a par 3)
- Buggies available if required, to be paid on the day
Timings
- 07:30 – Golf club and practice facilities available
- 07:45 – Registration opens – tea, coffee, breakfast rolls
- 08:15 – Briefing
- 08:30 – Group Photo
- 08:40 – Golfers depart for start
- 09:00 – Field Gun start, followed by 18 holes
- 13:30 – 19th hole, bar open
- 14:00 – Lunch
- 14:30 – Prize draw and raffle, followed by silent and live auction
Dress Code
Normal golf attire on the course with smart casual for lunch.
Terms and Conditions
Any cancellations up to four weeks prior to the event will be offered a full refund and 50% up to two weeks prior.
