This weekend fundraiser Staff Sergeant Lou Grew, serving with the King’s Royal Hussars, is taking on an extreme challenge – the 100km Isle of Wight Challenge. SSgt Grew is a veteran fundraiser for The Soldiers’ Charity, having started with the Frontline Walk and continued on to complete the Cateran Yomp, Silverstone half marathon, the Bournemouth marathon and still has some big plans for the future.
To date, Lou has raised over £2,500 individually for the Charity, and much more in team events.
SSgt Grew is fundraising in memory of Lance Corporal Christopher Arthur Abbott, a fellow KRH who sadly passed away on the 11th April 2017 as a result of a road traffic accident. Our thoughts are with LCpL Abbott’s family and KRH Regimental Association.
