 4 Chefs Dinner

29th March 2025

Join us for our 4 Chefs Dinner at Harris Academy, Dundee on 29th March 2025.  4 chefs 4 Courses!  The exclusive menu will be individually chosen and prepared by 3 of Scotland’s finest chefs and a chef from the British Army Culinary Arts Team.  A welcome drinks reception will be followed by a four-course dinner menu with matched wines.

They’ve cooked for Royalty, they’ve cooked for celebrities, they’ve cooked on the telly, they’ve been on the BBC’s Masterchef ….. and now they’ll cook for you.  An evening of fine dining, with a sprinkling of Army pizazz for that little bit extra.

Meet the Chefs

Rajinder Tony Singh Kusbia MBE

Rajinder Tony Singh Kusbia MBE is a Scottish Celebrity Chef and restaurateur.  He is best known for combining Scottish produce with an arty, eclectic and accessible style of cooking.

Born and raised in Leith, Edinburgh,  Singh comes from a second-generation Sikh family.  He studied at Telford College and completed a Youth Training Scheme in Professional Cookery before beginning his career in the restaurant industry. The year he completed his formal training, Singh started working in fine restaurants in Britain.

His menus have featured seasonal and local Scottish ingredients with influences and additions from around the world. He holds the title of Master Chef of Great Britain, is a member of the Academy of Culinary Arts and Craft Guild of Chefs, and was honoured by the Queen in her 2017 New Years Honours List being made a Member of the Order of The British Empire for his services to the Food and Drink Industry.

 

Lewis Donegan

Lewis Donegan is a Scottish Chef and Tutor who heads up the hugely popular Dundee Cooking Academy.  He loves to share his passion, extensive skill set and vast knowledge to deliver entertaining cooking classes to the public.

Dundee born and bred, Donegan started his cooking career with Hilton Hotels. He then worked all over Scotland developing his craft in some of the country’s most prestigious restaurants and hotels.  Lewis moved into teaching in 2014 and has lectured Professional Cookery at Dundee & Angus College and tutored at one of Scotland’s most renowned celebrity chef run Cook Schools. He cooked lunch for Her Majesty the Queen at her 90th Birthday Celebration hosted by Dundee’s Lord Provost and even tried his hand at Masterchef the Professionals.

The British Army Culinary Arts Team (BACAT)

The British Army Culinary Arts Team is a remarkable group of chefs representing diverse talents within the military’s catering ranks. Comprised of individuals from all catering backgrounds, abilities and ranks, the team aims to spotlight the exceptional skills and versatility of military chefs on the international culinary stage.

Under the guidance of Staff Sergeant Rachyel Ainsworth, BACAT continues to inspire and excel. The team enhances the reputation of British Army catering while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.  BACAT exemplifies how teamwork, skill development, and dedication can achieve extraordinary results, cementing their role as ambassadors of military culinary expertise on a global scale.

BACAT chefs have proven their mettle through various prestigious engagements, including catering for high-profile functions involving senior generals and royalty. Their achievements extend to major culinary competitions, with consistent victories at events such as the ‘Joint Culinary Training Exercise’, where they have repeatedly claimed the inter-services trophy.

Ross Turner

Ross Turner is a Fellow of the World Master Chefs Society, a highly regarded and prestigious culinary society. Membership of the Society is a recognised status of professionalism, talent & integrity.  It is made up of carefully selected, like-minded professional chefs who all share a passion for their craft and developing talent.  Ross is currently in the role of Executive Chef at Tankersley Manor Hotel in Yorkshire. Whilst living in Comrie, Perthshire Ross achieved a number of awards including winning silver in the “Chef of the Year” category at ChefSkill 2008, Ireland’s most prestigious culinary competition.  He has served in a number of prestigious establishments as Head Chef including G1 Group, Norton Park Hotel, Winchester and the Dunkeld Hilton Hotel.
