We are delighted to award a £20,000 grant to Style for Soldiers towards this year’s family reunion day for injured Army veterans and families.
Many wounded and disabled veterans experience loneliness and social isolation and miss the friendship and camaraderie they enjoyed during their years of military service. Style for Soldiers provides smart clothing and military dress for medically discharged service personnel, most of whom were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. The charity also organises parties and reunions to help them connect with military comrades with similar needs and challenges.
Our grant will go towards the charity’s annual family reunion day in August at the Woburn Safari Park on the estate of the Duke of Bedford who will attend the event and generously provides free access and a barbecue lunch each year.
