We are delighted to award a £80,000 grant to The Not Forgotten to fund its entertainment and recreational events for sick and wounded Army veterans and serving soldiers.
Many wounded and disabled veterans experience loneliness and social isolation and miss the friendship and camaraderie they enjoyed during their years of military service. The Not Forgotten provides them with opportunities for making new friends and social contacts to help improve their physical and mental health and promote a sense of community. The charity supports over 10,000 beneficiaries each year, approximately half of whom are from the Army family.
Our grant will go towards funding The Not Forgotten’s operational costs and tailored programme of entertainment events for military veterans and injured serving personnel, including annual Royal Parties at Buckingham Palace and St James’s Palace.
